3.1) What
are the set-up costs for a Virtual Server and when do they
begin?
Servers AW25 and AW75 both
have a $50 setup fee. When paying by credit card, the
setup fee will automatically be charged to your card when
the Server is first ordered. WHEN PAYING BY CHEQUE, ORDER
PROCESSING BEGINS UPON RECEIPT OF THE SETUP FEE AND A
DEPOSIT EQUIVALENT TO THE COST OF ONE MONTH OF SERVICE.
3.2) When are the monthly charges
billed?
All billings will be made
on the day of the month of the anniversary of your
hosting. Prices are subject to change in the future, but
are guaranteed through your paid billing period.
3.3) How do I pay for my Virtual
Server?
BWSD STRONGLY recommends
that you pay for your Virtual Server with a credit card.
Payment in this manner will ensure that your account is
not accidentally deactivated due to lost mail or other
problems. Please update BWSD with your credit card
information if you receive a new credit card number and/or
expiration date. Problems may arise with your account if
your card expires. There is a reactivation charge of $50
for accounts deactivated because of non-payment. Accounts
paid by credit card are charged monthly, or quarterly, or
semi-annually, depending on your payment selection option.
BWSD accepts Visa and MasterCard.
For accounts paying by
check, a $50 setup fee and an equivalent one-month service
deposit must be received at our office before the order
will be processed. All invoices are e-mailed monthly at
the beginning of the payment period. Payments are due no
later than 10 days from the date of the invoice at the
beginning of the billing period. All accounts overdue 30
days or more will be deactivated until payment is
received.
3.4) How do international
customers pay for a Virtual Server?
For international orders,
you may want to pay for your Virtual Server using an
International Money Order.
3.5) How do I update my billing
information?
You should e-mail any
changes to billingNoSpamForMe@web-design.net. Please include your
account domain name when submitting any changes.
You may also fax your
request to (905) 725-4023 ATTN: Billing. Be sure to
include your domain name with any submission of change. If
you need to change your credit card number, you will need
to fill out a new billing authorization agreement (located
in the AW Server Backroom at
http://web-design.net/support/aw/
- just follow the link for the Credit Card Authorization
Form).
You may also use our secure formmail, located at:
https://bwsd.com/secure/securemail.html
3.6) What are Beck Web's payment
schedule and terms?
Beck Web's terms are N/10
or net amount due after 10 days for new items charged,
like adding domain names. If it is within 10 days of your
billing date, BWSD may simply wait and bill it with your
monthly statement, or indicate that it may be paid with
your next payment. Monthly cheques are due at the
beginning of your billing period. A 10 day grace period is
allowed, but it is not advisable that you do this. It is
your responsibility to make sure your monthly payment
reaches us on time. It is strongly recommended that you
submit post-dated cheques for your monthly payments. If
payment has not been received within 30 days of a due
date, the account may be disabled until we are notified by
you that payment is in transit, or payment is received.
Accounts disabled will have inaccessable web sites, and
lose login priviledges. There is a $50 fee to reinstate a
disabled AW Server or AW Hosting Plan, and a $75 fee to
reinstate a BW Server. Additional charges would apply if
files needed to be recovered (if they were available still
on backup tape).
3.7) When
can I qualify for a discount?
Beck Web rewards those who
prepay for lengthier periods of time, as this helps to
defray billing costs for us. Please see the
Pricing Section of the FAQ
for details. (example: A fully prepaid for one year, AW75
Server would cost just $80. per month on average.)
In addition, BWSD has just
opened its Advanced Web Server Reseller Program. After you
have resold 5 servers, you will receive a 25% discount on
your total monthly billing. You must switch to monthly
billing once you have reached reseller status. You can not
combine pre-paid discount pricing with reseller pricing.
Please see Section 5: Reseller
Questions
3.8) Who will bill me for the DNS
registration?
InstantDomainRegistration.com,
the Beck Web company that registers domain names will charge you
separately for your domain registration fee. The current
IDR fee schedule is approximately $15 for the first year, ~$15/year
for each year after that. You may register domain names now for up to 10
years, and as little as one year.
3.9) If I'm reselling servers for
a premium, who is responsible for collecting payments from
their clients?
Although we are not
supporting a resseller program on our AW servers, anyone
reselling a Beck Web AW Server is responsible for
collecting payments from their own customers. Resellers
are in turn responsible for payment directly to Beck Web
for the full amount of their monthly bill. For instance,
you might want to purchase an AW75 Server at $80/month by
pre-paying for one year, and then mark it up to $125 per
month. We know clients who are almost doubling the low
prices that we are offering acting as agents. Others are
purchasing AW75 Servers and reselling domain name hosting.
3.10) How many Credit Card numbers
may I use?
Only one credit card
number per customer/Reseller may be used to charge for
services rendered by BWSD. A Reseller's credit card must
cover the entire cost of all accounts.
3.11) What if I cancel my account?
The $50 setup fee for
a Virtual Server is non-refundable. If a customer cancels
within three days of placing an order, there will be no
other charges besides the set-up fee. After that time, the
applicable monthly fees will be charged.
3.12) What if I want to
upgrade/downgrade to another Server?
This is no problem, just
send an e-mail to serviceNoSpamForMe@web-design.net stating your
name, domain name, and the Server you are currently on,
along with whether you desire an upgrade or downgrade of
your server. There is no charge to upgrade your Server
Type; however, there is a charge of $60 to downgrade your
Server Type. |
